about gf denver
For many years now Denver’s restaurants have drawn the attention of top chefs from across the country and discriminating foodies far and wide. Local food lovers have gotten spoiled with all the amazing choices available to them. But for many of us with gluten related disorders, this boom has been bittersweet. While Denver restaurants are definitely more gluten-free friendly than many other cities, it can be hard for a person with gluten issues to eat out with confidence.
GFDenver.com is a blog dedicated to people in the Denver metro area and beyond who want to enjoy the nationally recognized Denver restaurant scene but are nervous about getting sick by what they eat. While the safest places to eat out are at the handful of really amazing restaurants with dedicated gluten-free kitchens (make sure and give them love first!), there are a growing number of restaurants with delicious gluten-free options on their menu, and a staff that has been familiarized with the preparation of gluten-free food. It is my mission to not only bring these options to your attention, but to help take the mystery out of what restaurants are more safe than others by interviewing chefs, getting the inside story on what specific menu items are gluten-free, and sharing what specific kitchens are doing to avoid cross contact.
Being diagnosed with a gluten related disorder doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a nice night on the town. I am here to help you do just that!

GF Denver's Goals:
- To be a meaningful online resource for celiac patients in the Denver metro area who want to experience the Denver restaurant scene gluten-free.
- To promote restaurants that have dedicated gluten-free kitchens, so that these establishments are easy to find for celiac patients.
- To develop relationships with restaurants who are intentionally gluten-free friendly and to promote those establishments that are gluten aware and actively committed to serving gluten-free meals free of cross contact.
- To raise awareness of celiac disease and gluten cross contact among the staff at Denver’s most popular restaurants, food trucks, festivals, museums and attractions, thereby helping to raise the bar for general expectations of food service in Denver.
